“Ray Caron, a very humble sincere person who is an excellent listener to all points of view”
Jack Nivison – Longtime coach, educator, and historian in the Town of Winslow
"It is with great pleasure that I offer the following words on behalf of Mr. Caron. I have had the pleasure of knowing Mr. Caron for the past several years. During that time, Mr. Caron has been a member of the Winslow Town Council. As a result of his leadership, he was recently elected Chair of the Town Council. As Chair, Mr. Caron as given countless hours of his time attending numerous school board and town department meetings during budget development to gain a better understanding of the various barriers the school and town face. As a result of his “seeking first to understand” approach, he was able to guide the other council members with the information necessary to support the various departments while being fiscally responsible to the taxpayers.
Winslow Public Schools is completing a major capital improvement project. The existing Jr. High will be vacated in the fall of 2020. Students will attend a new structure that is connected to the existing high school. Countless hours and meetings took place for this project to be completed. Mr. Caron attended many of the meetings as a representative from the Town Council. This is another example of Mr. Caron’s understanding that strong schools contribute to strong communities. Mr. Caron is a supporter of education and understands that the future of our communities lies with their youth. Mr. Caron’s leadership and solid foundational beliefs would serve him well as a candidate for a house seat."
Peter Thiboutot – Superintendent, Winslow Public Schools
“Ray Caron exhibited strong leadership as Chair of the Fort Halifax Park Planning Committee by cultivating a consensus among Committee members who had diverse opinions on how best to improve the park."
Michael Heavener – Winslow Town Manager
“Having been in law enforcement for over 35 years it is a pleasure to know an individual like Ray Caron. Ray has always supported the mission of law enforcement and its needs. Whether providing funding or public support”.
Shawn O’Leary – Winslow Police Chief
"If you elect Ray Caron, you can believe that Ray will thoroughly evaluate the issues that will confront the legislature. Ray will make informed decision and act as an independent voice representing the citizens of Winslow and Benton."
Wally Lafountain – Longtime coach (State of Maine Hall of Fame) and educator.
"I served several years with Ray on the Winslow Parks and Recreation Board. Ray was well prepared for every topic on the agenda.
When items that he sponsored were on the agenda, Ray was a pit-bull in seeing issues through to completion.
Ray is a dedicated servant to the community of Winslow and its youth. Ray has deep commitment to serve the people of this area.
Ray is one of the most honest people I have ever met.
Ray has my wholehearted support.
Ray would be a top-notch choice for the House of Representative or for any office that Ray is running for."
Jim Poulin – Coach, educator, and lifelong member of the Winslow Community.
"I have known Ray for quite a long time. I am impressed by what he has accomplished for the betterment of the Town of Winslow, be it sports, community, organizations, schools, or town council.
Ray has put in a lot of time and effort for the Town of Winslow and I am sure he will represent the town well as our representative in the next legislature."
Ernest Baker (longtime resident and volunteer)
Ray Caron is the Right Choice
I have known Ray my whole life. But then again, I probably should because he is my big brother. Ray has been involved with helping the citizens of Winslow for 40+ years. He has taught generations of kids how to play soccer, been a Volunteer Firefighter and even worked as an Advanced EMT. Ray has been on countless committees and has volunteered thousands upon thousands of hours in his lifetime. Ray has been a member of the Winslow Town Council for the past 12 years and is currently its chairman.
I have had the privilege of representing the good people of Winslow and Benton in the Maine Legislature for the past 8 years. I hate leaving but knowing that there is someone as capable as Ray waiting to take my place makes it a little easier. Ray knows the ins and outs of what it takes to run a town like Winslow. Ray has worked on numerous budgets, always with his neighbors in mind. I know Ray will continue to represent the citizens of Winslow and Benton in Augusta with the same caring attitude. I whole heartedly endorse my brother, Ray Caron as your Representative to the Maine Legislature and encourage you to vote for him come November 3rd.
State Representative Catherine M Nadeau
