Ray Caron for Maine State House District 78

ChairmanAs a member of the Winslow Town Council, I am working on my fourth term on the Council.  While on the council I have done my best to minimize increases to the mil rate while maintaining infrastructure and much needed services.

It has been an honor to be chairperson of the Fort Halifax Committee.  On the recommendation of the committee, the council implemented improvements to Fort Halifax Park.

I was a member of the Winslow School Consolidation Committee.  By receiving input from school officials, citizens, councilors and public referendum, the committee formulated a plan for a two-facility campus using a K-6 / 7–12 grade configurations. Total cost of the project 8.3 million.

I was a member of the Winslow Fire/Rescue for 8 years.  As a town councilor, I supported an increase in fire department staffing to enable two firefighters to respond to a rescue call, thus increasing the ability to perform enhanced treatment at medical emergencies.

I supported the implementation of body cameras for the police department, an increase in manpower to help ensure that officers have support at critical times and much needed renovations to the police department.
